The multilayered structure of the settlement at Arslantepe Mound reveals a broad chronological sequence, starting from the Chalcolithic Age and extending through the Bronze Age, Iron Age, and Antiquity. These periods can be clearly distinguished from each other by the mound's architectural layout, pottery typology, administrative structures, burial practices, and traces of daily life.
